2 John Cottages, a family cottage through now 4 generations offers 'a home from home'
and we can't wait to share it with you!

The Beach House, Keyhaven

'A mid-terrace family owned cottage'

2 John Cottages has been in the family for many years and holds countless happy memories for now 4 generations. It has character, charm and is teeming with quaint features. Yet, what stands out the most is it's welcoming 'home away from home' feel and above all; its' location.

Situated just outside the village of Milford-on-Sea, the cottage is tucked away up a quiet, residential private lane in the hamlet of Keyhaven. Being a mid- terrace cottage, its' features stand prominent with its' hand carved wooden house sign positioned proudly above the front door (courtesy of Grandfather.)

For us, the perfection of a Keyhaven break starts with the sound of the shingle lane on your tyres as you pull up to the property, followed by the smell of 'sea air' as you stretch out of the car after your long journey and the feeling of pure relaxation as you walk through the bright blue, front door to a cosy, inviting and charming holiday home, where your break can be whatever you want it to be. From that point onwards.

We're excited to share this gem of a cottage with you, for others to experience the love we have for the 'the beach house.'

About Keyhaven

Keyhaven, although small comes complete with its' own pub, 'The Gun Inn' where atmosphere is brimming and wholesome home cooked food, equipped with a beer garden and an open fire complementing every variation of Hampshire weather just at the end of the road.

In the harbour, you'll be able to catch a ferry to Hurst castle, walk up the shingle or source sandy beaches in only a 15 minute stroll from the cottage itself, (not to mention the trusty ice cream van you'll pass rain or shine!) Paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and swimming are a common sight at Milford and local rental companies can accommodate these activities, if desired. The family claim that a trip to 'the beach house' isn't complete without a spot of crabbing- (worryingly the most success comes when using 'seafood sticks.') Dinghy sailing is also a popular pastime.

The nearby town of Lymington hosts its' bustling Saturday market most of the year, it's a fabulous place to potter around over the cobbled streets, with many independent shops and locally made produce available.

Slightly further afield, but very reachable is the stunning landscapes of the New Forest itself, spoilt for choice with exploring on foot, bike or car- the New Forest ponies are always a pleasant sight in the area.
